Job Description

The SST Customer Support Coordinator is an operational support role within the SST Customer Support team. The role will involve working closely with the SST Engineering & Customer Support Manager in the course of responding to customer demands & requirements while maintaining the highest possible levels of customer satisfaction. The role will monitor and support multiple simultaneous projects while dealing with and reacting to any related technical support and coordination activities that will be required. The role will involve interfacing directly and professionally with both our customers and any necessary SST & Makino departments

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES and AUTHORITIES   Includes the following; others may be assigned:

  • Assist and support Field Service Technicians as needed
  • Evaluate incoming customer complaints & disputes
      • Work with our customers and internal personnel in resolving these matters
  • Maintain the ongoing customer follow-up processes
  • Participate in complimentary product support activities
  • Prepare local quotations and process invoices
  • Assist with facility and showroom maintenance
  • Assist with shipping and warehouse activities
  • Handle incoming calls to the general/local office line
  • Provide assistance to the Engineering & Customer Support Manager as directed
  • Continuously monitor the execution of installations and projects; coordinate with the related Makino departments to ensure successful completion

Required Skills

  • Strong phone contact handling skills
  • Active listening, negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Strong PC skills, including MS Office Suite and Project software, and must be fully capable of effectively utilizing the company‘s databases, including Metrix and SAP

Required Experience
  • Proven customer support experience
  • Strong conflict resolution experience
  • Technical knowledge of machine tool products is a plus but not a requirement
  • Associates degree in Business or Engineering program
